Excellent service!! Tremendous communication and very professional!!

I’ve take my car to Mears twice and both times have been 100% satisfied with the experience. Taking your car to Mears for service you won’t have to worry about being taken advantage of or having shoddy work performed. I highly recommend

I cannot say enough positive things about this place. We have been so happy with their services and refuse to take our cars anywhere else. Amy is so kind and pleasant anytime you speak with her and does a great job explaining everything. The mechanics do great work and have never tried to "sell" something we don't need. They do a wonderful job of explaining what might need done immediately and what can wait. To them, it's all about customer service and proper care, just like it should be!

Mears quickly diagnosed and took care of an engine issue for us! We are so thankful for their work!

I took my car here for brakes. They replaced my brake pads, rotor, brake fluid flush for a very reasonable price. Jeremy was great.

My first experience with Mears Automotive has been excellent! They were able to get my vehicle in to diagnose by the next week. They fixed the issue within a day and gave my vehicle a once over to let me know what else needed to be repaired. I already knew what needed to be repaired and their analysis was spot on. Efficiently, they texted me when my vehicle was ready for pick up and my pick up was easy and pleasant. Price was fair and their customer service is very friendly. I will definitely be using them in the future!

Best shop I have ever been to. Honest work, good work. I had more problems than I thought with my subaru and I didnt feel pressured or up-sold. Tom even looked for a good used part for me to save money and time. It ended up being a wash but I feel like I am driving a whole new car! Prices were incredibly fair and communication from the shop was great. No complaints and I would 100% recommend this shop. My car feels safer and sturdy. Thank you Tom and everyone at Mears!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently brought my 2011 Lexus CT200h to Mears Automotive for a preventative EGR system service, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the beginning, Troy and his team were professional, communicative, and transparent. During the repair, they found the EGR cooler was heavily clogged with carbon. Rather than immediately recommending a replacement, they took the time to soak and clean it overnight in an effort to save the original part. Only after determining it couldn't be restored did they recommend replacing it. That approach gave me a lot of confidence that they were focused on doing what was best for the car, not simply selling parts. The communication throughout the process was excellent, and when I picked the car up it was running noticeably smoother than when I dropped it off. It's refreshing to find a shop that takes pride in its work and treats customers honestly. I won't hesitate to bring my vehicles back to Mears in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy repair shop.

Went in just to get air in my tires since the Marathon down the street doesn't have a pump, did it for free and gave me a replacement cap too!

Mears Automotive has been a fantastic mechanic for me. Troy is always more than willing to walk me through what’s going on in detail and help me get a better understanding of both problems and solutions. Best of all, Mears has integrity and stands by their work. Recently I had a transmission replacement that failed and needed to be replaced again under warranty. I had moved out of state, which made the process much more complicated (and I’m sure was more of a headache for Mears Automotive than it otherwise would have been). Troy helped me on multiple occasions in following up with my out-of-state mechanic and with the warranty company to ensure everything was done properly. When frustrations arose with those two companies, it was Troy at Mears that truly went above and beyond… knowing full well that I wasn’t really going to be a future customer given my new location. This shop’s work, attitude, and commitment to excellence is worth your business when you want the job done right!

I have been with Mears for many years and they never disappoint. I love the gentle reminders that service is due... the easy scheduling... texts to communicate and let me call back when it is convenient for ME... and esp the way they fix only what is NEEDED and then leave it up to me for things that will be to come. I love being given the "heads up" so I can plan for those services later. I have never had a bad experience and will continue to use Mears for all of my vehicle needs!

Troy and Megan of Mears got my 2021 explorer in for diagnostic quickly, and helped me work through the 3rd party warranty claim with ease. My vehicle required a new radiator, transmission drain and fill, and some lamp replacement work. While I did end up paying a bit more than anticipated, Troy went over all charges with me, and did not exceed the amount I authorized. At no point were any services pushed on me, and Troy only recommended services for issues that they identified during their diagnostic, that I had also identified previously. All in all, my experience was very positive, and the turnaround from drop off to pickup was great, with them finishing two days ahead of the estimated pickup date. I will happily bring my vehicle into Mears of Brownsburg, where I had this work done, or their sister store in Carmel in the future.

Brought my Genesis in for an oil change/filter and 4 tire replacement. Blown away by the professionalism and excellent service from a private shop. I typically have my car serviced at the dealer, but the service there is lacking at best and I find it difficult to get clear information there. The gentleman at Mears took time to explain in detail what the service included, the cost, and was happy to answer all the questions I asked. Very pleased with this level of customer service and will continue to have my vehicles serviced here in the future and not the dealership.

I can’t say enough good things about Mears! While I was out of town, they looked at my G8 and diagnosed it completely free of charge. Troy even took the time to talk with me the morning of my trip home when I called for advice. On top of that, he actually called me later that day during my drive just to make sure everything was still going okay.They're genuinely outstanding people. I don’t even live in Indiana, but you better believe if my car ever needs anything and I’m anywhere near Mears, that’s where I’ll be going. In a world where it’s hard to count on people, you can definitely count on these guys! Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I want to share my experience so that other people are careful. I went to this place to do a transmission service and I was charged $900 for a simple transmission oil change. Then I investigated and discovered that at the official Ford dealership the same service costs about $250. The worst thing is that they didn't even change the transmission filter, they only changed the oil, which makes the price even more unjustified. I think it's an exaggerated and dishonest charge. I recommend anyone that before doing a service here ask for the prices or compare with the dealer, because the difference is huge. I definitely wouldn't come back.

Amy is absolutely wonderful with her knowledge that she explained in detail each item that need repaired. They also offered a loaner vehicles during the service, which was fast and effective. They will always have my future business when needed.

I am thankful for their honesty and good workmanship. I have found that they can be trusted and any work they recommend is erst is needed. I have taken my SUV and my pickup truck both to them, and the work they did is well done, thorough and timely.

After being quoted $500 elsewhere to replace an entire pump, I brought my car here for a second opinion. Turns out the pump was fine; the fluid line was just pinched from a poorly installed filter. Mears Automotive fixed it in minutes, charged me nothing, and saved me from an unnecessary repair. This is what an honest mechanic looks like. Get a second opinion — and make it here.

In an age that makes it increasingly difficult to find an auto repair shop that is trustworthy, honest, and follows through with what they quote, this is the ONLY shop that I will use for my vehicles. Prices are prices, they're high everywhere with everything, but at least here I know that I'm getting the repairs completed correctly, they're honest about the time-frame of repairs, and I am always spoken to like I truly matter.

We frequently brought in a very old (20+) vehicle and your team worked with us to try to get it working again. They gave us fair and honest service. We never felt like we were being taken advantage of. We eventually sent that car to the graveyard but we will be bringing it's replacement in for service as needed.

Very impressed with my first visit. I took my wife's vehicle in, they were very kind, prompt, and professional. They were able to work me into their schedule even though I didn't have an appointment. Work was completed in a timely manner with full explanation of symptoms and repairs included on work order. Fluids were topped off and tire pressures were checked as a complimentary service.

For a decade now, my family have taken all our vehicles to Mear’s for any service. They are the most honest, professionally trained, hard working technicians in the greater Indianapolis area. They never charge for diagnostics, no matter how involved the task. They always give advice about what services we should get in what order when funds are tight. Their customer service is excellent, as well, and they always take the time to explain technical issues to us in detail. It’s wonderful to have such professionals to trust with our automotive needs.

Mears Automotive completely turned my week around! The night before my birthday, I walked out of work in the dark after all my coworkers had left and my car simply wouldn’t start. We’d never used Mears before, but had heard great things about them, so I asked for it to be towed there and hoped for the best. They figured out the problem, gave me a very reasonable quote and despite hitting some bumps along the way, they stuck to that quote, all the while making sure my car was completely taken care of. I know for a fact we’ll be back in the future and we can’t recommend them enough! We’ve been searching for a trustworthy, competent and reasonable mechanic shop since we moved to the area 5 years ago. Now we’ve found that and more!

Finally, a trustworthy, professional, and considerate service shop! Our out-of-town daughter required a tow and repair; trusted local friends recommended this shop and we are so grateful! Our situation was vulnerable being in Georgia, but Mears staff (several different ones) politely walked us through the process and the price ended being less than quoted. We literally dumped her car on them late Monday (no appointment) and had it repaired relatively quickly and professionally. No drama, fuss, up-charge, unnecessary repairs, or allusive phone calls. Above all else, integrity means everything to us (even if we pay a little bit more), but we were thrilled to get the complete package: trust, professionalism, and consideration. -Andrew

I don't do reviews, have probably only done 2 in my lifetime, but this review is a must. I had my alternator changed by them which didn't cost as much as I thought since getting to an alternator now a days is nearly difficult where they hide it. but anyways. a month later I was out of town in Illinois visiting family for the weekend when my battery light came on when we were about to head back home. I had it checked at the local autozone which luckily was around the corner and the charging system came back failed. thanks to our family for loaning us their truck as I would have been stranded for a few days with my wife, mother in law and 4year old. we get back home to Indiana and visited Mears the next day. I spoke with Meagan, Nate and the manager Troy who I can't thank these guys enough. I explained to them that towing the vehicle was going to cost me at least $1K and somehow would need to get the alternator to Illinois. Troy spoke with Nate and they decided to go and pick my vehicle up at our families house 2.5hrs away!! The relief on my face and weight off my shoulders was gone. To cut the story short. They picked up my car and replaced the alternator again. Cars running good again. Couldn't be any more of a happy customer. Best customer service and great people. They didn't have to pick up the car but they did and did not charge me when he could have. My family thanks you Mears. God Bless you ALL!

Always great customer service! These guys do an excellent job for an affordable price in a timely manner. They're honest, trustworthy, and good at what they do.

Don't trust their mechanics. Selling lemons with hidden issues. To respond to them: No, but your mechanics sell cars with intentionally hidden issues and take advantage of people.

We appreciate the partnership with Mears. They do a great job of following up and making sure their customers are taken care of.

My 2018 Ram needed a new head gasket so I took it to MEARS. Being a mechanical engineer, I know the questions to ask and things to look for to avoid shops that cut corners on a repair. These guys checked all the boxes for a solid repair and the cost was very competitive. I highly recommend MEARS if you want it done right.

Took care of my auto in a timely manner

My car broke down and I could tell it had some pretty intense issues. They were able to get my car in within a week and they work with a tow company to streamline the process and invoice. I got a phone call midday letting me know the extent of the issues with my vehicle. Even after I declined any repairs, they were extremely kind and thoughtful. They offered me solutions and recommendations for selling my vehicle and put no pressure on me to have it immediately towed away. Best possible experience with all of the stress. I will absolutely be back to them in the future.

Honesty…. Don’t get that much these days ! I was told by another company my car needed $4200 worth of work . Mears did me right and even helped save money on parts ! Thanks for going above and beyond!! Only paid $550 . Save yourself some time and heartache, and just go here first!
